Busy Busy Weekend!

We had a busy, but great, weekend...not to mention the week before was pretty good. Baby Knives has seemed to gotten into a better daytime frame of mind where she'll sleep for a good 3-4 hours in the middle of the day. On one hand it's fantastic because it allows me to get a lot of work done uninterrupted. On the other hand, I never know when she'll doze off for that long so its really a toss up if it'll be in the morning (like today - it's 11:30 and she's been sleeping since 8:30) or in the afternoon (on Sunday she slept from 2-6!). Still, I'm thankful for the break in my day, no matter what time it occurs.

Last week my husband's parents were amazing and babysat so we could go see Bob Dylan in concert.  It was the first long stretch of time we left her with them and I honestly didn't worry about her one bit.  I knew she'd be fine with her "Mimi and Poppy" and have a grand old time while we were out...it felt so nice to be out and feel like just a couple of grown-ups having fun!

As of yesterday, Baby Knives is a whopping 3 months old - I had to take a photo of her with her daddy's favorite electric guitar, just like we did when she was 1 month old...look how much she's grown!

This past weekend was special too, Baby Knives got to meet her grandpa (my dad) for the first time and they became instant buddies.  Check out their chat-fest!

Then, on Sunday, she was dedicated at our church (Oak Ridge Baptist) and charmed the entire church in her little "Supergirl" onesie and faux ugg boots.  Thanks to our friend, Sarah, we got fantastic photos of it too!
